Our History

Kepnock Grove was born from a need, realized by the Catholic Church in Bundaberg, for a range of home style accommodation for the elderly.  Through consultation with elderly people, the facility was designed to cater for their specific needs and desires.

In 1992, after three years of careful planning, Stage One of Kepnock Grove opened its doors to Residents.  The Centre has successfully grown to the point where it is renowned for its exceptional facilities, quality care and relaxed atmosphere.

The aim of Kepnock Grove is to promote dignity and purpose to the lives of the aged whilst encouraging self-care, self reliance and independent decision making.

Kepnock is administered by a Board of Management with representation from the Church, business, health, legal and welfare sectors.  Friendly, highly qualified staff form an integral part of our family.

We offer a range of accommodation to suit your specific needs.  Depending on your medical, personal, financial and social needs, you can select between fully Independent Living Units (Equity and Rental) or four Lodges which provide single room accommodation for Residential Care and one Lodge which provides twin share accommodation for Residents.

All units and Rooms are designed so you can transform them into your own private place.  Large windows look over our landscaped gardens and individual outdoor living areas enable you to enjoy gardens or recreation time.

How many private homes can boast 24 hour staffing, emergency call, nutritious meals, visiting doctors, physios, podiatrists and hairdressers?  How many private homes have a community room which is a venue for entertainment, sport, social activities and religious services?

At Kepnock Grove, you can enjoy home style accommodation with all the benefits of a modern retirement center.

There is even a library on site and organized activities range from shopping trips to in-house concerts, indoor bowls to card tournaments.

Ecumenical religious services are held twice a week and our chapel is always open for a private prayer and reflection.
